Our History
AFC-Community Development Corporation is a 501 (c) (3) community-based organization that was incorporated in 1995. Since 1995, AFC-CDC has been assisting families and individuals to achieve self-sufficiency through supportive services and permanent housing. In 1996, the City of Chicago declared AFC-CDC as a Community Housing Development Organization.
Our mission
AFC- Community Development Corporation's mission is to preserve and expand affordable housing and provide supportive services for low-income individuals and families; including those with special needs, the homeless, and those with physical and mental disabilities.
Our vision
AFC- Community Development Corporation's vision is to develop affordable housing and provide sustainable services for low-income individuals and families providing the tools to help them to achieve self-sufficiency and prevent homelessness.
